About us
millly isn't an agency, a marketplace, or a classic tech startup. millly is a stance: that models are people, not products. That clients are professionals, not petitioners. And that both sides work together more honestly without a middleman layer than with one.
Why millly exists
We come from this industry. We've seen the emails to bookers that never got a reply. The 180-day waiting periods for payouts that make a free life impossible. The dismissive comments about a model's body during casting, without any feedback ever coming back. We've seen this system make people smaller, on both sides. millly is our attempt to end that. Not through reform, but by replacement.
Curated, not scaled
We grow slowly on purpose. A maximum of 100 verified models plus a managed waitlist. Not because we couldn't build a bigger platform, but because scale makes the problem we want to solve worse: anonymity, interchangeability, exploitation. Anyone working on millly, model or client, is personally approved. That slows us down. It's deliberate.
Data belongs to people
Polas, briefings, contracts, messages: everything you exchange on millly belongs to you. We don't sell it, don't mine it for ads, don't hand it to third parties. Servers in the EU, GDPR as the baseline, not as a compliance hurdle. Accounts can be deleted with all data in one click: no support ticket required. We treat your data the way we want to be treated.
Built ourselves, hosted in Europe
This platform runs on European infrastructure, with a European data-processing agreement, without trackers from Google or Facebook. We use open source where we can and write the rest ourselves, at our own pace. No investors, no growth KPIs, no pressure to monetise at any cost. We build slower, and more honestly.
Who's behind it
Behind millly is a small team with experience in fashion, photography and software and the personal wish to make a tool we'd enjoy using ourselves. We're reachable, we listen, and we change the platform based on what our models and clients tell us. If you have an idea, a complaint or a question: write to us. We reply personally.
